Frequently asked questions about our production

It is important to us at VON&ZU not to neglect our responsibility towards people and nature when developing our collection. To give you an insight into where our products come from and who makes them, Eva answers the most important questions about them.

How does it all start? Who designs the products?

We start each new collection with the fabric fair and the associated fabric templates. This gives us a first feel for the new trends, colors and qualities. The creative head of each product is Magdalena. After trend research and store checks, mood boards, color worlds and finally the finished garments are created.

Where do the fabrics come from and what is important to you when making your selection?

We source our fabrics from various fabric suppliers in Europe. We have been working with our main suppliers for many years. Nevertheless, it is important for us to get to know new fabric suppliers and to work with their qualities in order to bring variety into the collection. When selecting the fabrics, I also pay attention to the technical conditions in addition to the look, because not every fabric is necessarily suitable. If a blouse quality is not washable, for example, it is difficult to use it.

Where is the collection sewn?

We sew our collection exclusively in Europe at our partners in Hungary, Poland and Croatia. These are owner-managed family companies with whom we have a long-standing and good business relationship.

Why not in Germany?

It has now become something very special when you read the addition "Made in Germany" on a care label. The German companies have become fewer every year and we have grown. For this reason, our production volumes in Germany could no longer be produced.
