The year at VON&ZU is quite varied, so much so that regular projects have become part of our everyday business routine. On this page, you'll find the latest information about our commitment.

SPONSORSHIP
The Vocational Training Center (VTC) of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in Kiziba, Uganda, is a vocational school for young women. Here, they can complete vocational training in design, tailoring, foot care, hairdressing, catering/housekeeping, or IT services, leading to a state-recognized qualification. These qualifications enable the young women to lead self-reliant and independent lives. Only with a profession can they support their families and escape poverty. The two-year course costs at least €1,000, not including the necessary materials.
The VTC and its students rely on donations to guarantee full-time instruction. We at VON&ZU make four donations a year. The proceeds come from the donation box, which we display at all our public events to raise awareness of the VTC.

Scherenburg Festival
The Scherenburg Festival at the Scherenburg Castle ruins in Gemünden am Main takes place annually in July and August as an open-air theatre Today's festival dates back to 1908, making it one of the oldest in Germany.
At VON&ZU, we can always help with costume design thanks to our extensive collection of clothing. Whenever possible, we also lend out props, such as clothes racks, etc.
Rieneck Celebrates - 500 Years of Carnival 2025
On the occasion of the anniversary, the IG Brauchtum & Kultur Rieneck organized a first-class carnival parade, which took place on February 22, 2025.
In addition to a donation, VON&ZU also provided sewing machines, fabrics and seamstresses to create exclusive costumes.
